Description:
Exterior view: Hulme Hall, Bolton Road, Port Sunlight. Originally the Girl's Dining Hall and named after William Lever's wife, Elizabeth Hulme. Subsequently used as an events venue (Ringo Starr made his first appearance with The Beatles here) - now a conference and wedding venue. The land at Port Sunlight was bought by William Lever and developed to provide housing for his workforce at the Lever Brothers soap factory on the Wirral. Different architects designed the various rows of houses and public buildings at Port Sunlight.
