aluminium - cladding
Location: Salford Quays. Exterior view of museum over parked cars. The open tower containing the entrance and a viewing platform (air) is to the rear in this image, with the main museum (earth) to the left, and the smaller (water) fragment overlooking the canal and housing the restaurant. The design concept reflects the earth shattered by wars and conflict. The museum is composed of 3 shards from this destruction. The shards represent earth, water and air.
