brick bearing masonry , iron trusses supporting glazed roof
Exterior detail: brick and sculptural details in the upper levels of the facade. The drainpipes are half-recessed into the surface of the building. Built to accommodate all kinds of stock trading the building is now called the Beurs van Berlage and is used as a venue for events and exhibitions. It was a precursor to the work of the Amsterdam School.
