Description:
Detail view of the renovated chapel entrance. Slate walls and steps. Modern glass doors with ornate door handles set between old arched entrances. After extensive renovation, The Tabernacle, a former Wesleyan Chapel was re-opened as a centre for the performing arts on 11th October 1986. It is run by a Charitable Company, The Machynlleth Tabernacle Trust, who have subsequently bought the building to the left which has been opened as the Museum Of Modern Art, Wales (MOMA). It holds a permanent collection of modern Welsh artists and also holds temporary exhibitions. Final alterations saw the chapel entrance alterations in 1997. The building is also used for a variety of adult education classes.
