The southern facade of Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House, as seen from the East 58th Street side of the entry plaza to the Rafael Viñoly designed University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. Designed in 1908 and completed in 1910, the Frederick C. Robie House was the quintessential Prairie style house (sweeping horizontal lines, dramatic overhangs, stretches of art glass windows and open floor plan). This house was an architectural revolution, and remains one of the most important modern architectural designs in America. The original size allows viewers to see clearer detail.
