The plaque is sited on wall of the Ship Institute, North Pier, Newlyn Harbour.
It commemorates the voyage from Newlyn on October 20, 1937 of the fishing boat 'Rosebud' to hand in a petition at Westminster Pier protesting against Penzance local government's "sweeping plans for housing clearance scheme " for Newlyn. Erected on the 50th anniversary of the voyage. |
