Description:
View of bench.

Location: Endcliffe Park, between the Café and the Playground level with RustlingsRoad/Ecclesall Road junction. It is located under trees, close to the edge of the large grassed area.

Description: A toad resting on a book, carved from a single piece of wood. The piece is about 1 metre high.

Commission: This is a replica of a piece first installed here in 1997, which has rotted away. The sculptor has presumably been asked to replace his original piece.
The original piece can be seen here < http://shimmer.shu.ac.uk/luna/servlet/s/13d9pq > .

Comment: This is quite a coup for Thomson being asked to replace his original work.
