Detail. Photographer's statement: "My work engages with the small details of the everyday that are often overlooked but are in fact, quite interesting. The main theme that runs throughout my work is nature, as I am fascinated by the beautiful detail and textures that can be found in such small objects. In this project, I exploit macro photography to provoke interest through the use of abstraction, enhancing the delicate details we see within nature. Through the use of light, shadow, selective focus, texture, shape and form, I provide the viewer with an aesthetic experience which can transform the way they see nature. In other aspects of my work, I look at the idea of the ephemeral within nature and give these transitory forms significance through my creative documentation."
