View of exhibited work. Photographer's statement: "Concentrating on surface allows me to use photography as a visual tool to engage and confuse the reader. Captivated by beauty in the every day, I use the technical nature of photography to critique the truthfulness of the document with a medium once considered as honest. Concrete subject matter is created through the pure technicality of light, paper and film, and the recomposition of elements that could be considered menial. By choosing to recompose these objects, the element of waste in my practice is minimal, commenting on the disposable nature of contemporary photography."
