Description:
Detail. Photographer's statement: "The images are created to suggest the snapshot as a fraction in time, and the idea of the continuous build up of time with the multiple exposure. The use of traditional architecture in the images enables such an approach to be explored. The aesthetics of the images are carefully considered, aiming to take a 'rephotographic' approach observing how the subjects were first photographed in the early 1900's and using the same processes of black & white film to mimic the style of that period. Through the use of overlaying negatives a connection is established from the original gothic period to how the subject presents today. The architecture is simultaneously timeless yet progressing through time."
