Detail. page of book. Photographer's Statement: "The work is an exploration into the community of which I am part in order to share experiences and knowledge about what it means to be an expatriate. Each person was asked to answer four questions in writing relating to their experiences of being an expat. Each image in the book is accompanied by these responses including spelling mistakes to ensure the integrity of the process. Each subject has been photographed in a location that they are familiar with in the country in which they currently reside and yet are not at home in that it is not their country of origin. It is important that each subject is represented in a way that defines them as individuals involving minimal control by the photographer"
