View of the statue and plinth. Location: The occupied equestrian plinth at the north-east corner of Trafalgar Square. A companion equestrian statue of William IV was to have been erected but sufficient funds could not be raised. The empty plinth is known as the Fourth Plinth and is now a site for temporary artworks.
