Description:
Exterior detail: sculpture exhibited under an arch of the old fort within the Modern Art Museum, Palma - accessed by stairs from the entrance courtyard (bottom of picture). An observation at the highest point of the museum is at the top of the picture. An art gallery built within the walls of a 16th century fort - part of Palma's city walls. The exterior spaces are also used as exhibition areas - both courtyards and old & new walls being connected by ramps and balconies. The new structures are made of concrete and glass to distinguish them from the stone walls of the original bastion.
