Description: 
Gold painted George V pillar style post box. Location: Barkers Pool, Sheffield City Centre. During the London Olympics gold medal winning athletes were commemorated in their home town by Royal Mail who painted a post box gold in their honour. For the rest of the Games, and in the immediate aftermath, these became a photo-opportunity for passers-by.
