Description:
|
Exterior view: The Copper Band. The Pan-Nordic Building is a complex enclosing the 5 Nordic Embassies and including a communal building - the FELLESHUS. Lead architects for the project were BERGER and PARKKINEN (1995-1999). They were responsible for the copper 'band' that encloses the complex and the Felleshus. The band around the site is composed of copper lamellas mounted on a steel framework. The 3,850 lamellas can be adjusted to control light, heat and air. The length of the band is 226 m. Location: Klingelhöferstraße, 10785 Berlin. Google maps < http://g.co/maps/79q74 >
