Description: 
Interior detail: stained glass window by Mark ANGUS (1989) - to commemorate the centenary of Surrey County Council. The foundation stone was laid in 1936, but building was interrupted by the 2nd World War and recommenced in 1947. The Cathedral was consecrated in 1961 and the final parts of the building: Western Porches (the Garths), the Sacristy, the Lady Chapel, the Chapter House and The Tower were not completed till 1966.
