Interior detail: heating detail in the roof of the extension to the Historical Museum (PEI, 2003). Location: Zeughaus und Ausstellungshalle, Unter den Linden 2, 10117 Berlin . Originally an armoury, built in the late 17th and early 18th centuries it became a military museum in the late 19th century. The contents of the German Historical Museum were transferred to this building from the Reichstag after re-unification. I.M. PEI's extension is located at the rear of the building on Hinter dem Giesshaus, see < http://g.co/maps/8yykm > .
