Detail: inscribed plaque on a watch tower, part of the Berlin Wall - now surrounded by 21st century buildings. The tower is now called the Günter Litfin Memorial, and is run as a memorial to Günter Litfin, shot 24-08-1961, and all victims of the Berlin Wall. The last line of the plaque says that if we forget history and catches up with us. Location: Kieler Straße 2, 10115 Berlin.
