Exterior view: west facade. Location: Charlottenstraße 4, 10969 Berlin. The building's energy efficient features include a double skin facade and, on the west facade, window blinds. The latter are in two colours, orange and rose. The building was short-listed for the Stirling prize, 2000. The same architects designed 'Jessop West' in Sheffield. GSW (Gemeinnützige Siedlungs- und Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin mbH) is a real-estate company. Now known as 'GSW Immobilien AG'.
