Exterior view: composite view from the balcony looking over the River Thames with Hungerford Bridge (left) and the yellow staircase on Quenn Elizabeth Hall (right). Royal Festival Hall was built by the Greater London Council Architects' Department as part of the Festival of Britain. Their team of 3 architects was led by Leslie Martin. The riverside facade was subsequently altered - 1964. Later, in 2005-2007, the entire building was restored (Archts: ALLIES & MORRISON) - photographed just after the completion of this later refurbishment.
