Description: 
Exterior detail: central portion of the facade to No. 13. Location: 12 - 14 Lincoln's Inn Fields. No. 12 was demolished and rebuilt by John SOANE (1792-1794) as his private residence. Between 1808-1813 he rebuilt No. 13 which evntually housed his museum, archives and office. He finally rebuilt No. 14, (1823-24). He hoped that rent of this last property would provide an income, after his death, with which to maintain his museum.
