Description:
|
Exterior detail: corner of the structure near the interconnecting lift containers. Location: Trinity Buoy Wharf, Docklands. 80% of the build uses recycled material. Container City II has 5 floors, provides 22 studio spaces and is made from 30 containers. Erected in 8 days. Unlike Container City I, this building overhangs on the upper floors. Trinity Buoy Wharf still had a lot of the original Dock buildings still standing. Container City I was the first of a number of container structures infiltrated onto the site between different existing buildings. Urban Space Management, who developed the site, have offices in another container building, The Riverside Building, elsewhere on the Wharf.
