Description: 
The Ironmonger Monument. Located on a landscaped area on top of City Square. The monument consists of a small gearwheel on top of a stone block. It has the following inscription: "This landscaped area is / dedicated to the memory of // Sir Charles Ronald Ironmonger / (1914-1984) // Freeman and Alderman of the City of Sheffield, he / served the people of South Yorkshire as Leader of / the County and City Councils // The gearwheel was donated by GEC Traction Ltd / for whom he worked for forty-one years".
