|
Exterior view: view of terrace looking towards the Gallery buildings. The triangular shapes on the roofs are skylights for the individual galleries. This is part of The South Bank Arts Centre, now called the Southbank Centre. The Royal Festival Hall (1951) was built for The Festival of Britain - the other elements, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room (built in 1967), and the final building was the Hayward Gallery (1968).
