Exterior view. Section of the older part of the south facade on Church Street. The original church was significantly restored from 1878-1880 by FLOCKTON & GIBBS. Commission: The church was granted cathedral status in 1914 and expanded and restored to designs by Charles NICHOLSON. Following some war damage, this work was begun again with a new architect, Arthur BAILEY (his work is not visible here).
