Exterior view: wind turbine and water channel. Children's play area and car parking - right. The bridge over the water leads (left) to open countryside. The services contains the usual facilities: petrol, toilets and parking. In addition are a number of environmental features. A wind turbine provides some of the power for the site. Water channels are stocked with fish. Visitors are encouraged to walk or cycle into the surrounding countryside. Enclosed landscaped areas for cars to stop and picnic are provided. Tourist Information on the area is provided on site and the ground floor of the tower contains space for video presentations on the cultural heritage and natural resources of the area. The service station has been awarded Environmental High Quality certification.
