Description:
|
Exterior view: pedestrian thoroughfare between museum buildings giving access between the Cathedral Square and the River Rhine / Hohenzollern Bridge. Brick details on the museum facade mirror those on the Trade Fair Buildings (1922) on the far side of the Hohenzollern Bridge. This Modern Art Museum was built to house part of the Wallraf-Richartz Collection, which was originally exhibited from 1957 in the building which now houses the city's Applied Arts Collection.
