Description:
Exterior detail: love padlocks attached to fence and a section of bridge. The Hohenzollern Bridge is a major railway and pedestrian bridge over the River Rhine. Since the early 21st century people have attached engraved padlocks to the bridge as a mark of their affection for one another. When the railway company wished to remove them the city prevented this as the locks have become a cultural tradition and a major tourist attraction. The locks are visible on the fence between pedestrians and trains. The bridge was completely reconstructed after WW2.
