Exterior view: 'Lunablu' - a house for a family of 5. Wood frame, straw boards with external lime render (which oxidises to an orange colour). Sheeps wool insulation. Bedrooms down stairs, living space upstairs to make use of greater warmth and light. Solar water heating and wood burning stove. Wind turbine electricity. 'Living Machine' waste water. Deer friendly garden with minimal fencing. One of the houses built in the Ecovillage (also known as 'The Field of Dreams') for members of the Findhorn Foundation to create "sustainability not only in environmental terms, but also in social, economic and spiritual terms".
