Exterior detail: right hand side of the new museum entrance (1986). The museum was constructed within a 19th century railway station, the Gare d'Orsay (Architect: Victor LALOUX, 1898-1900). The re-construction lasted from 1978 till 1986 and the architect in charge was Gae AULENTI.
