Description:
Location: Salford Quays. Exterior view: curved prow on one corner of the main museum shard. The tower is visible (left) and the restaurant shard (background right). The design concept reflects the earth shattered by wars and conflict. The museum is composed of 3 shards from this destruction. The shards represent earth, water and air. The open tower containing the entrance and a viewing platform (air) is to the rear in this image, with the main museum (earth) to the left ,and the smaller (water) fragment overlooking the canal and housing the restaurant.
