Exterior view: The elephants and rhinos are now located at Whipsnade Zoo and this Grade II* Listed structure is used to house tapirs. The concrete skin was designed to refer to an elephant's hide and from above the green lanterns in the roof of the pavilion appear like elephants clustering around a watering hole.
