Exterior view: The bridge was designed by PAGE, with some gothic detailing by BARRY. The colour of the bridge is the same as that of the seating in the House of Commons Debating Chamber in the adjacent Houses of Parliament. It replaced an earlier bridge opened in 1750 designed by Charles Paul Labelye (1705-1781).
