Description:
Exterior view: Looking across canal basin towards the prow of the building on Binnenkant. Built to accommodate six different shipping companies and now in use as the Grand Hotel Amrâth. The architects worked as a co-operative. One of the more flamboyant works of the Amsterdam School shaped like a moored boat - the starboard side is on the Prins Hendrikkade and the bow (shown here) points towards Amsterdam Central Station.
