Description:
|
Exterior view: central tower and section of the development from Hembrugstraat. This is the 3rd block in a series of housing developments on adjacent streets built by DE KLERK, and one of the most important examples of work by the Amsterdam School. It was built to contain 102 homes for the working class, a post office and a small meeting hall. In 2001 the post office was re-opened as a museum to the work of the Amsterdam School.
