Design for a dish cover. Unidentified student's metalwork design from the latter half of the 19th century. A collection of these designs is in the Special Collection. They are largely undated except for one which has the date 1864 on it. The identity of the student's responsible is also unknown. There are many designs of similar objects suggesting that these represent exercises given to the students.
