Description:
|
Location: Sheaf Square. Close view looking down the length of the sculpture view towards the station. This entire face has water running down it and marks one side of the main pedestrian route from the station into the city centre. The illuminated glass inserts at either end are by MUKAIDE, a third blue-purple light runs beneath the piece for its entire length. The City Council commissioned this piece which ".... celebrates Sheffield's engineering and metal industries." (Press release - 27 November 2002) Sheffield Hallam University's Sheaf Building in the background.
