Detail: wall of the hostel with YHA signage and Information Board with details of eco-friendly features added to the hostel. The YHA's first eco-hostel, re-opened in March 2005 after extensive reconstruction. Originally the village school. Features include wool insulation in the walls and roof, a rainwater harvesting system, live sedum roof, a compost toilet and photovoltaic cells.
