View of the plaque with bronze bust. Location: Paradise Square. (A-Z p5 2E) Description: Bronze tablet with a relief bust of John Wesley, commemorating the occasion on which he preached in Paradise Square on July 15th 1779. Commission: Unveiled by the Methodist Conference in 1951. Comment: The plaque was obviously sculpted (and cast ?) some years before siting as Alfred Tory died before this took place.
