View of "Pig in Clover" sited outside Bath Assembly Rooms and sponsored by Bath Holiday Homes. King Bladud's PIgs was a public art project following a number of similar animal related projects, usually of cows, in cities world wide. The basic design for the pig was created , by Alan DUN, and then decorated by different artists, with each individual pig being sponsored by local enterprises and people. At the end of the event the pigs were publicly auctioned and retired to more private locations. "King Bladud's Pigs in Bath is a summer 2008 public art event to celebrate Bath, its origins and its artists and provide residents and visitors with some artistic enjoyment. " Maps of the pig trail encourage visitors with opportunities to engage with the sculptures in different ways.
