Description:

View looking across the top of the beach. Facilities for beach users including toilets and a cafe are built into the retaining wall left. Stacked deck chairs / sun loungers and sun-bathing tourists. Over 20,000 cubic metres of dark sand were imported to create beaches surrounded by landscaped garden areas on what was previously a rocky coastline. Further offshore concrete blocks beneath the water break up the effects of the waves.
