Description:
|
Distant view looking across the valley towards the piece which consists of raised 'beds' planted with ox-eye daisies. The site was formerly Charley Pit and is commemorated with this work which becomes white when it flowers. One of the landmark sculptures on the Sustrans Trail which utilises the disused Consett-Sunderland Railway line. The line runs just below houses beneath the skyline (right) and rises slightly as it crosses the image. The town behind is Stanley.
