Exterior view. Section of the main facade with a train on the railway line in front of the buildings. Now redeveloped as an arts and shopping complex. Saltaire itself was built from 1851 by Sir Titus Salt (1803-1876). It contained his mills; housing for workers; hospital, institute and schools for their use and a park.
