Description: 
Interior view - Faience. One of the faiences from the exterior of the Co-op. It was saved from demolition and is installed here in a niche in the entrance to Safeways as a relic of the former building on the site. It was made by DOULTON of Lambeth. It has subsequently been made removed and its whereabouts are not known. The store was extended (c.1939) but then demolished in 1989 and the entire Moorfoot site replaced by a Safeways Supermarket and carparks.
