Exterior view: the Gatehouse to Hardwick Hall, with views behind of part of the West Front. Restoration of one the turrets is underway in the photograph. Ornate chimneys visible at roof level. The stone tracery at roof level includes the letters: E & S - the initials of Bess of Hardwick (1527-1608) who had the house built.
