'The Snaix' (by WRAY, 1998) is to the left, 'Fingers' (by KENT, 1999) is to the right. School buildings are behind. Location: Sharrow Nursery and Infants school, on grass just in front of school entrance, Sitwell Road, Sheffield S7. Description: Carved wooden 'fingers', arranged as a hand emerging from ground. Commission: 'Snaix' was sponsored by the council's Arts for Everyone (A4E) scheme. 'Fingers' by Sheffield Children's Festival 1999. Comment: The artists worked with children at the school to create these pieces.
