Detail view. One of the three reliefs above the main entrance. Female pupil. Location: Sunnyvale Road, Totley Primary School. On an exterior wall above the main entrance. Description: 3 square reliefs carved in stone, each depicting a scene which representing an aspect of childhood and learning. Commission: Sheffield City Council Education Committee Comment: The surface of the stone has blackened in the fifty years since they were installed. Original (black and white) photographs show the reliefs as being virtually white. In 1998 Coralie Turpin and Jason Thomson worked with children at the school and installed two pieces of their own in the areas near the main entrance.
