Description: 
Loxley College. Exterior detail. Location: On the exterior wall to the left of the main entrance to the Loxley Centre, Myers Grove Lane, Sheffield S6. This is part of Sheffield College. (A-Z p5 4F) Description: Abstract structure attached to the brick wall; composed of circular forms and vertical struts. One of the circular forms is inset with cut steel pipe; some of the struts are made of stainless steel, separated by channels inset with glass strips. A separate circular shape inset with small granite pebbles is to the bottom left. Commission: not known Comment: The form of this piece may reflect the College's original role which was to teach Engineering. Stylistically this piece belongs to the 1960's or early 1970's.
