Description:
Detail view. Fish head. Location: Five Weirs Walk - Salmon Pastures; 50m south of Washford Bridge. Description: Appears to be a pen-knife with a salmon handle and a large number of retractable blades, displayed in a fan-like shape. Commission: Five Weirs Walk Trust. Comment: The blades are those of the various tools made in factories in the immediate vicinity. The bench has the minimum of seating area, which has been sacrificed in order to use the wood to maximum sculptural advantage. A second bench in the form of a Pike and Tyre is also sited on the Salmon Pastures stretch of Five Weirs Walk. A third bench, showing a newt on a log, was stolen before it was installed.
