Description:
Location: Norfolk Street. Exterior view of façade and lower portion of the tower. A relief of John and Charles Wesley is visible at apex of the main body of the building. This was carved by Sheffield sculptors and stonemasons Alfred and WIlliam TORY. Commission: Waddington, Son & Dunkerley of Manchester won a competition to build Victoria Hall in 1904, Hale's design being judged in 2nd place. Following the death of Dunkerley in 1907, Hale took over the management of the job to the original designs. His major contribution was in the re-modelling of the Tower.
